A public symposium of the Science Council of Japan (SCJ), titled “カーボンニュートラルに向けた水素の多面的な利活用～第2回 水素を使う～ (Multifaceted Applications of Hydrogen for Carbon Neutrality — Part 2: Using Hydrogen),” will be held in Tokyo on September 1, 2026 (Tuesday).

The symposium aims to identify key issues surrounding the use of hydrogen for achieving carbon neutrality, one of the most pressing challenges facing society today. The second symposium in the series will focus on the theme “Using Hydrogen.” Professor Kazunari Sasaki, Associate Director of the Kyushu University Hydrogen Institute for Sustainability and Head of its Hydrogen Utilization Research Division, will participate as the moderator of the panel discussion.
