The International and Interdisciplinary Collaboration Research Division builds and strengthens partnerships within the university, across Japan, and globally, leveraging expertise in hydrogen and related technologies around the world.

The division emphasizes integrated energy systems encompassing hydrogen production, delivery, storage, and utilization. Its interdisciplinary research spans engineering, chemistry, materials science, and societal implementation. Coordination across divisions provides a strong foundation that integrates fundamental research, system design, and technology demonstration, and informs the development of codes and standards.

The division also strengthens communication and outreach, highlighting Kyushu’s unique role as the world’s first university with a dedicated hydrogen major, collaborating with relevant divisions to develop a skilled workforce of the future.
