Advancing Hydrogen Energy Systems for Social Implementation

In order to realize a sustainable hydrogen society envisioned by SIF, the International and Interdisciplinary Collaboration Research Division advances the development of hydrogen energy systems by leveraging expertise in plant design and related technologies for hydrogen energy and other decarbonization fields. As a foundation for the social implementation of carbon-neutral energy systems, the division focuses on utilizing hydrogen as an energy carrier and works on the design, construction, and demonstration of integrated systems that combine hydrogen production, delivery, storage, and utilization.

Drawing on expertise in technologies and devices across these fields, the division develops integrated energy system designs and leverages system demonstration results to identify and communicate R&D challenges for key devices and materials.
