Advancing Hydrogen Energy Systems for Social Implementation

In order to realize the sustainable hydrogen society envisioned by SIF, the International and Interdisciplinary Collaboration Research Division promotes the construction of integrated hydrogen energy systems by leveraging expertise in plant design and other decarbonization fields. As a foundation for the social implementation of carbon-neutral energy systems, the division focuses on utilizing hydrogen as an energy carrier and works on the design, construction, and demonstration of integrated systems that combine hydrogen production, delivery, storage, and utilization.

Based on knowledge of various devices across these domains, the division develops integrated energy system designs and actively identifies research and development challenges for key devices and materials based on system demonstration results, disseminating these findings to the broader research community.
